The Indian poet Tagore, born in 1861, said: "I hope the whole world would know Islam and its truthful and honest prophet." He added that Mohammad was not a man who follows his whims and did not write the Quran himself.

Speaking on Al Azhar, he wished there is a similar institution in India as it gives support to Islamic preaching.

Gandhi was also born in India in 1869. He learnt how a man should be free. He also faced a lot of trouble for achieving freedom. He was called Mahatma which means the great soul. He was murdered in 1848.

Gandhi said: "the prophet of Islam is the one who made me call for the liberation of India."

Nehru, who was born in 1889, is one of the Indian freedom fighters who called for the independence of India and was imprisoned several times for standing against Britain. He said: "the prophet of Islam is a model to be followed by any reformer who wants to achieve real peace." He also said: "I knew Islam from my father and his friend Gandhi and I felt that Islam is the way to free the world of all evils."
