Small scale industries are very important to the economic development as they require limited capital, technical and administrative expertise.

The Indian experience in this field provides some solutions for overcoming the impediments facing these industries. Since the fifties, India established several authorities:

The Central Authority for small scale industries which is affiliated to the Ministry of Industry which put the strategy of developing this sector.

The National Federation for small scale industries which market products

Small scale development authority

Regional bodies for developing small scale industries in different districts

In view of such measures, more than 500 regional offices were established and lists of products have been made including more than 800 products.

In a nutshell, the Indian experiment in the field of small scale industries provides some solutions to overcome the impediments facing the small scale industries and establishing their administrative and technical structures.
