The space mission: lessons from India

By: Abdel Khaliq Sobhi

While most of the world countries are suffering from a financial crisis, India makes a technological surprise launching its first mission to the moon. India joining the space club nations is not an ordinary incident that occurred by chance. It was, rather, a result of persistent work over 3 decades and an enlightened political leadership that decided to start the space program since the mid 1970s.

Launching the Indian moon mission indicates the advance India achieved in fields of launching systems, electronic control devices, as well as equipments of communication, imaging, measuring and espionage. It also highlights the advance achieved in the Indian education system and reflects the huge revenues of India's  keenness on developing the individual, qualifying him scientifically and investing in human resources.
