On the way to the moon
By: Samir Attallah
In the past, we had one picture of India, or rather one caricature, that is a poor Indian person lying on a piece of wood full of nails. India, which was once stricken by poverty, is now on its way to the moon. The middle class in India amounts to the population of the Arab world. The technology industry in India is up to that of California. Its political weight forces the world to change the system of the UN. The Indian national income is matchless in the third world. India opted to rise, to preserve its dignity as it does not accept any foreign assistance, to adopt science and medicine and to apply democracy.
