India and its national progress experience
By: Samir Morcos
Some people asked me to shed light on the Indian development program because I stressed the importance of imitating such a program to get out of the current situation we are suffering from. India is a good model of a country with highly dense population. The Indian coalition government led by the Congress party managed to mix between economic liberation and respecting the social dimension.
The Indian economy has become one of the major global economies. It would be the fastest growing economy during the coming fifty years. Studies revealed that in five years, India would surpass Britain and in 2040 the Indian economy will be the third largest economy in the world. In 2050 the Indian economy will be five times as big as the Japanese economy.
The Indian annual growth rate will be more than 10% in the coming two years.
The Indian companies working in the industrial and technological fields are achieving tremendous progress. The agriculture sector grows by 11%, taking into account that 60% of the Indian labor is working in this field.
All this progress in India was due to a good educational system that provides good education to all citizens whether poor or rich. It is worth mentioning that about 125 companies of the most important 500 companies in the world have research and development centers in India. The democratic system in India is also capable of discovering corruption and providing social equality to the Indian people, which guarantee fair opportunities to all strata of the society in education, health and other domains.
