Amin Abaza: Indian investments in the field of agriculture flows to Egypt during the coming period

Amin Abaza, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, confirmed that that coming period will witness outflow of Indian investments to the Egyptian market for establishing different developmental projects referring to the fact that it was agreed during the visit he paid to India last week that investment projects will be established in the field of agricultural machinery.
In statements to Al Alam Al Youm, Mr. Abaza said that his visit to India achieved several results after he met with a number of Indian senior officials including the Indian Minister of Agriculture. He added that he discussed possibilities of cooperation and boosting agricultural and economic ties between the two countries, reviewing achievements of the Egyptian agriculture, and the modernization and development, the role of the private sector and facilities and incentives provided by the government to encourage agricultural investment.
The Minister of Agricultural added that an MOU was signed between the two countries during this visit. It is related to cooperation between agricultural center in both countries, boosting cooperation in the field of biotechnology, research and crops to reach the highest possible productivity.
Abaza noted that it was agreed with India to boost cooperation in the field of agricultural cooperatives and benefit from the experience of some of the Indian companies including EFFCO, which works in the field of distribution of fertilizers.
