Visit of H. E. Mr. Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of State of India for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, to Egypt (10-13 January 2010)

H. E. Mr. Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of State of India for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, will be paying an official visit to Egypt on 10-13 January 2010 at the invitation of H. E. Mr. Ahmed Darwish, Minister of State for Administrative Development of the Arab Republic of Egypt. H. E. Mr. Chavan will be accompanied by a delegation comprising senior officials of the Government of India.

H. E. Mr. Chavan will hold discussions with H. E. Mr. Ahmed Darwish, focussing on sharing of perspectives and experiences as well as the means to activate cooperation between India and Egypt in the field of Public Service delivery, capacity building and skill up-gradation and e-Governance. During his stay in Cairo, H. E. Mr. Chavan is also expected to call on H.E. Dr. Hany Mahfouz Helal, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and H.E. Dr. Yousef Boutrous Ghali, Minister of Finance.

The visit of H. E. Mr. Chavan sustains the momentum of bilateral Ministerial-level exchanges between India and Egypt while at the same time widening the scope of the bilateral relationship.
