More than 40 companies from India at the Cairo International Fair

    Over 40 Indian companies are participating in the Cairo International Trade Fair being held at the Cairo International Exhibition and Fair Groun ds , Nasr City, Hall No. 15 ‘C’ from 18 to 28 March, 2008.  Textiles, jewelry, handicrafts, pharmaceuticals, herbal products, engineering goods and tea are being exhibited. The Tea Board of India, the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) and the Handicrafts Export Promotion Council of India (HEPC) are participating in this event.  The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of India is also exhibiting products of SMEs in the India Pavilion. During the Fair, the Indian exhibitors will have meetings with potential partners from Egyptian industry and trade for identifying areas of cooperation. A handicraft demonstration by expert craftsmen from India is one of the highlights of the India pavilion at the Fair.

    Indian companies have been participating regularly in the Cairo International Trade Fair every year. The General Organisation for International Exhibitions and Fair of Egypt (GOIEF) and Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) of India participate in each other’s Trade Fairs under an MOU signed between the two organizations in 2006.
