Visit of Indian Minister of State for Human Resource Development to  Egypt

    Her Excellency Mrs. D. Purandareswari, Minister of State for Human Resource Development is visiting Egypt on 13-17 November 2006. Her visit to Egypt is as leader of the Indian delegation to the Sixth High-Level Group Meeting on 'Education for All' scheduled in Cairo on 14-16 November 2006. The Indian delegation includes the Ambassador of India to UNESCO, H.E. Ms. Bhaswati Mukherjee and senior officials from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The High-Level Meeting is hosted by the Ministry of Education of Egypt in collaboration with UNESCO.

    H. E. Mrs. Purandareswari was elected to the Lok Sabha (Lower House of the Indian Parliament) in 2004 from the state of Andhra Pradesh. A Prominent political and social worker, she is also a member of the house Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs& Public Distribution and the Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances,Law & Jutice.
