Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad invites online application for PGPX (One year MBA)
Asia’s premier business management institute IIM, Ahmedabad in pursuit to path of globalization, has launched PGPX, a one year full time residential MBA for executives with substantial work experience. The objective of the programme is to develop bright, enthusiastic, and inspirational executives into management leaders and change agents in the global arena.

The application form and its submission are
free. Also, as compared to other international programmes, PGPX costs around 35
%. In the International Immersion segment of the programme, the participants
undertake a project with foreign university for five weeks.
World class infrastructure at single and married accommodation includes AC, TV,
refrigerator, furniture and other furnishings.
The first batch (PGPX 2006-07) has an average GMAT of 699.18, age of 31.6 years and work experience of over 9 years and is amongst the best in the world for one year full-time MBAs for executives. The profile of participants ranges from Deputy Director with Indian revenue service to specialist instructor from Malaysian airlines.

-International exposure:
There are six international participants. Of these, four are foreign citizens and two are foreign permanent residents.
41.0% (25/61) are residing outside India, spread across ten countries.
The average international work experience is 40 months (over 3 years) as of March 31, 2006.
82.0% (50/61) have international exposure in terms of work and studies.
Ten have obtained their degree(s) from outside their home country.
88.5% (54/61) have traveled to at least one country other than their home country.
-Professional background:
The average work experience is 114 months (over nine years) as of 31.03. 2006.
The industry mix includes FMCGs, Financial Services, Government Services, Information Technology, Management Consultancy, Manufacturing, Media, Projects/Construction, Shipping and Telecom.
-Academic background:
49.1% (30/61) have a higher qualification (Professional, Masters) than bachelors.
80.3% (49/61) are engineers.
28.0% (17/61) have graduated from IIT/NITs.
