Scholarship

 

As a part of the Indo-Egyptian Cultural Exchange Programme 2002-2005 for the academic year 2006-2007, the Government of India is pleased to offer 11 scholarships to meritorious Egyptian nationals for post-graduate studies (incl. Ph.D) at Indian Universities.

 

Procedure

 

        The Candidate will have to submit the following documents by February 28, 2006 to Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture through the Ministry of Higher Education, A. R. of Egypt.

  1. Six complete applications sets (one original and five photocopied); properly tagged are to be sent.

  2. Applications should be properly filled in and sent with the supporting documents.

  3. Candidates should clearly mention the course and two/three choices of Universities to which he is seeking admission;

  4. Certified copies of all documents should be supported by English translations;

  5.  A certified copy of the syllabus of the last qualifying examination, in Arabic and English, should be enclosed with the application;

  6. Students applying for doctoral / post-doctoral courses or architecture should include a synopsis of the proposed area of research

  7. Students wishing to study performing arts should enclose a video / audio cassette of their recorded programme wherever possible.

  8. Candidates are required to have a fluent knowledge of English

  9. Scholarships for admission to MBBS / BDS and related medical courses are not permissible

  10. Applications for study in India for courses less than an India are not entertained
