Dr. Nazif received an invitation for President Mubarak to attend India-Africa Forum.

 

The Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa witnessed intensive activities by Dr. Ahamad Nazif. He met Mr. Anand Sharma, the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs on the sidelines of the summit. As the official envoy of the Indian Prime Minister, Mr. Sharma delivered Dr. Nazif a message for President Mubarak inviting him to attend the India-Africa summit slated for April 8th, in India. The two-day event represents an initiative for strengthening cooperation bonds between India and African states.

 

The Indian envoy referred to the fact that his country set priorities to be discussed in the summit; they are related to requirements of development in Africa, and the distinguished aspects of Indian economy in the field of manufacturing, technology, energy, etc.

 

Dr. Magdi Radi, the official spokesman of the Cabinet said that Dr. Nazif referred to Egypt's support for such initiatives, as there is a necessity for focusing on all plans that assist the African development.

 

He added that the two sides discussed the Indian investments in Egypt. Dr. Nazif confirmed that the government is offering all possible support for Indian investors in Egypt.
