India, Iran to reaffirm ties
March 13, 2006
Maintaining that the Iran nuclear issue should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy, India has said it would not compromise friendly relations with Teheran “at any cost.” “Iran and India have had friendly relations traditionally. We would like to retain it. We will not compromise this relationship at any cost,” Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who is on a visit to Oman, said on 12 March. He said “doors are not closed for dialogue and diplomacy” to resolve the issue. He was speaking after a meeting with Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said.
