Indo-Arab League Forum soon
Indo-Arab ties always positive: Ahamed

KOZHIKODE: Union Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed on Saturday said that the proposed Indo-Arab League Forum would be constituted soon for strengthening the ties between India and the Arab world.
Inaugurating the three-day ‘International Arabic Seminar – 2007’ organised by the Department of Arabic, University of Calicut and Rouzathul Uloom Arabic College jointly at the Farook College here, he said that the Secretary-General of League of Arab States Amre M. Moussa would visit the country in connection with the formation of the forum. Indo-Arab relationship had always been positive and would continue to be so in future also, Mr. Ahamed said.
From time immemorial Arab nations, which had good relationship with India, had maintained a tradition of secularism and religious tolerance. Therefore, the Arab world would never approve of terrorist activities, Mr. Ahamed said.
He also said that Arabic had a constructive influence on the language history of the State.
