An art exhibition entitled "Inspiration from the East: India Meets Egypt"

At the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture, Cairo 13-24 May 2007

Within the framework of its various cultural activities, Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC) is organizing an art exhibition titled "Inspiration from the East: India Meets Egypt" by Prof Esmat Hassan from May 13-24, 2007, at the premises of the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture at 23, Talaat Harb St, Downtown, Cairo.

Prof. Esmat, a Biologist at the National Research Centre, is also an amateur artist, a poet and a writer. She attended art classes in Germany in techniques of oil painting. Prof Esmat has participated in many international exhibitions in Germany and Egypt.
