Lecture titled “Women’s Progress in India”

at the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture, Cairo

The Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC) is organizing a lecture on Monday, December 10, 2007, titled “Women’s Progress in India” by Dr. (Mrs.) Mona Abbas, a Journalist at El-Rai LilShaab Newspaper.

Dr. Mona Abbas, a Ph.D in Philosophy from the Institute of Asian Studies and Researches – Zagazig University, did her doctoral dissertation on “The Social and Political Roles of the Indian Women (1947-1997)”. She has delivered lectures on several India-centric subjects and themes at many institutions like Mass Media Center of Sharkia, Directorate of Information at the Ministry of Health and the National Council of Housing. The lecture will be held at the Centre’s premises at 23, Talaat Harb St., Downtown, Cairo, at 6 pm on Monday, December 10, 2007. All are cordially invited.
